American CNC buyers can now purchase the new epoxy granite machine frame instead of the commonly used cast iron.

HOUSTON, TEXAS, MARCH 16, 2020  SYIL is announcing the launch of the SYIL X7-20, a small CNC machine. The SYIL X7-20 epoxy granite milling machine follows the company’s already successful X7 model. A compact size, extensive CNC capabilities, precision, and cost of $30,000 set it apart from previous models.

The SYIL X7-20 CNC machine features an epoxy granite frame, better accuracy and a reduced footprint, plus all the benefits of the original X7. The SYIL X7-20 has:

  • Dimensional stability across a vast temperature range

  • Better vibration damping over cast iron

  • Option to make solid machine bodies, increasing the weight rating

  • No risk of corrosion with epoxy granite

  • Reduced casting processing times

  • More environmentally friendly manufacturing process

"SYIL delivers quality at an affordable price perfect for my needs," says the Managing Director of Le Plus Solutions in Singapore.

In addition to the new castings that allow SYIL engineers to place an X-axis motor under the table, the company reduced the model’s enclosure widths to 59” without compromising the table size or safety. The X7-20 also has increased travels measuring 15.7" x 11.8" x 14.9" and rapids at 60 meters per minute with higher-spec kinematics.

SYIL offers controllers that fit every customer’s budget. As a performance machine, the company recommends the Siemens SINUMERIK 808D advance. However, SYIL sells a custom premium controller for customers who require five-axis functionality.

Pricing for the new X7-20 now for sale in the United States starts at $17,499 to $28,495 for a base model that the company can configure to suit the customer’s needs. Possible configurations that buyers can add to their product include:

  • Protected enclosure, coolant kits and lights

  • Advantech-LNC 6800 CNC controller with three-axis servo motors (including LNC EtherCAT three-axis servo motors and driver, with support for a four-axis motor)

  • Automatic tool changer with a 12-position BT30 type

  • Epoxy granite machine frame

  • Precision linear guide

SYIL is a family-owned company that manufactures and develops these precision CNC machines for milling and drilling. The company has successfully supplied customers with more than 12,000 of these machines globally to date. The development process along with production and assembly take place in Ningbo and Shanghai, with the facilities adhering to the high-quality standards SYIL upholds.

In its mission statement, the company says it aims to improve and enhance the machine tools industry while making efforts to strengthen global technical standards by providing high-quality products. To better the industry, SYIL makes small, high-speed precision devices. In addition to company development, SYIL values the well-being of its staff.
